We were thrilled to see the progress and development that each organization has gone through from Pitch Session #1 to #2. Over the past week and a half our nonprofit cohort worked diligently with their coaches identifying gaps to fill and stories to leverage within their pitches. We as an SVP Fast Pitch Committee must tip our caps to both the coaches and the nonprofits as they truly elevated the pitch competition in round 2.
The power of this social innovation process shined through in this last pitch session as each organization implemented advice from verbal feedback provided after their first round of pitches. Many of the coaches recognized these transformations and applauded the nonprofits in their ability to take positive critic and turn it into a valued part of their pitch. An additional valuable insight gained from one of our coaches was the unique value a site visit to their nonprofit created in coaching their nonprofit’s pitch. On the site visit not only did the coaches see their team in action, but also identified key cultural indicators that were necessary in telling the nonprofits story.
Our next session will be on Feb. 5th, which will be the final round prior to selecting the finalists. We are eager to see who will make the final 10 spots, but are genuinely thrilled by caliber of our 20 semifinalists. Lastly, we are excited to announce that SVP Fast Pitch tickets are officially on sale!!!
