January 25th, 2018
We started 2018 off on the right foot using our SVP Annual Launch Event to bring together the SVP Community: SVP Partners, Prospective Partners, Investees, Young Philanthropists, and ecosystem collaborators to enjoy an evening of energy and productivity. At this event we worked together as a community of business and ecosystem leaders to provide key insights to two nonprofits in the Greater Sacramento region, Teach for America and Puentes.
We used our Think Tank-A-Thon design review process to attack the most pressing challenges and root cause problems that these two nonprofits are facing. Joyce Hettrich (SVP Partner & 2017 Partner of the Year Award Winner) and Monique Brown (SVP Board Member) led this process by facilitating the design review, which whittled down the nonprofits challenges to a very specific set of action items they could use in alleviating their situations.
We were thrilled with the participation and insight that both nonprofits walked away with as having a diverse set of individuals from different verticals in the ecosystem allowed us to provide an all encompassing set of prioritized actions the nonprofits should take. Keep an eye out for future Think Tank-A-Thon design reviews. If you are a nonprofit interested in learning more contact Cameron Law at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Lastly, during this event SVP Sacramento’s Founder and current SVP Board Member, Jack Crawford, announced the 2017 SVP Partners of the Year Award. He on behalf of the organization recognized Craig and Joyce Hettrich for their immense amount of engagement in SVP programs and initiatives throughout 2017. Craig in 2017 became an SVP Board Co-Chair, coached SVP Fast Pitch, and is a leader on the Strategic Planning Process. Joyce in 2017 was an SVP Fast Pitch Committee member, SVP Fast Pitch coach, and leads our Think Tank-A-Thon design reviews. On behalf of SVP we are thankful for their engagement and are proud to recognize them as SVP Partners of the Year.
Thank you to all those that attended! We look forward to seeing you all at our next design review Think Tank-A-Thon.
