Partner Spotlight: Craig & Joyce Hettrich

20160711_200853-2Craig and Joyce joined SVP Sacramento in Spring 2016 hoping to form connections in the Sacramento Region and to make a meaningful difference for local nonprofits using their professional skills. Both jumped right in to SVP lending their talents in a variety of ways and becoming a rock star partner duo!

As President of Renaissance Executive Forums of Sacramento (CEO Peer Advisory Groups) and CEO of California Growth Advisors, Craig provides premium learning environments that enable CEO’s to build great companies.   In his current role, and through his 30 years of experience with companies like Nestle and General Mills, and his 4 years as CEO of Java City, Craig has a pulse on strategic planning, leadership development and mentoring.  After joining the SVP Board in December 2016, Craig took on the role of supporting SVP Executive Director Bree Cahill in developing a formal partner recruitment pipeline and strategy. Already, Craig’s support has led to three new partners joining SVP! Craig was also a member of the SVP Fast Pitch Committee for 2017 and coached one of the semifinalist teams.

“SVP has been both professionally and personally rewarding for me. I’ve had the opportunity to meet many engaged Sacramentans through SVP and have lent my skills to some of the region’s most impactful nonprofits. I look forward to helping SVP grow in numbers so we can have an even greater impact going forward.”

Joyce has more than 15 years of experience in Design Thinking and leapt right in to help SVP with our first “Think Tank-a-thon” in September 2016. The successful event brought in two of SVP’s nonprofit Investees (916 Ink and College Track) for partner support in thinking through their current biggest challenge. Both nonprofits found value from the workshop, and it ultimately impacted both of their plans going forward. Joyce was a coach for the 2017 SVP Fast Pitch 2nd Place overall winner, Powerhouse Science Center, and will be joining the SVP Fast Pitch Committee for 2018.  She is currently working on SVP’s second Think Tank-a-thon, date TBD.

“Joining SVP has allowed me to put my skills to work to help make a positive impact for some really exciting local nonprofits. Our first Think Tank-a-thon was fun and rewarding and I’m looking forward to supporting the next two participants in the 2nd of our Think Tank-a-thon series.  SVP provided Craig and I with an on-ramp into the local nonprofit community – we’re so glad we decided to join!”

SVP – and our Investees and Fast Pitch nonprofits – are so lucky to have the support of partners like Craig and Joyce. THANK YOU for all you’ve done to help SVP and our nonprofit partners grow over the last year. We are incredibly grateful that you give of your money, time, and treasure to help local nonprofits thrive!
