A tremendous group of philanthropists, thought leaders, civil servants, and community advocates showed their passion for impact and Sacramento at the City Year Sacramento Ripples of Hope Gala!
The event attendees were welcomed to their seats with high fives and enthusiasm by a long line of energetic City Year Sacramento AmeriCorps members. The passion and energy radiating from each and every corps member was evident.
City Year Sacramento is living up to their promise by working to “bridge the gap in high-poverty communities between the support that students actually need, and what their schools are designed and resourced to provide.”
SVP’s founder Jack Crawford and founding partners John Finegan & Tom Kandris worked closely with former Mayor Kevin Johnson and Mike Brown, CEO of City Year, to able to bring such a powerful Force for Good to our community. Years later we are proud to see City Year Sacramento and its continued impact in the Sacramento community.
